I’m a data reporter covering education in Boston.
I am part of the Boston Globe’s Great Divide team covering race, class and opportunity Boston schools.
Prior to joining the Globe, I spent two years as a local editor for Patch.com, covering five towns north of the city. I’m responsible for every aspect of running a local publication, including reporting on all news out of those communities, planning and prioritizing coverage, creating and selecting images and graphics, writing headlines and engaging on social media.
I previously worked at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as a data, county government and general assignment reporter. I was part of the Pulitzer Prize-winning coverage of the Tree of Life shooting and other award-winning investigations.
I studied data journalism at Columbia University and Sciences Po Paris and math and French at Williams College. While at Sciences Po, I worked in the infographics bureau of the Agence France Presse. I’ve also written for McClatchy and the Berkshire Eagle.
